The Libertarian Primary is August 28th, I would like to invite all Libertarians and Independents to take part in our priamry. I would encourage you to vote for the endorsed Libertarian candidate for US Senate!
Thomas Jefferson said, "In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock." The time has come to end decorum; time to end the status quo. YOU and the country need "in your face" governance that stands like a rock.
Lawmaking solely in the interest of the country and it's people is paramount. All to often we see politicians voting the party line, voting blindly with their party and their OWN SELF INTEREST. Tell them, by voting for me and the Libertarian enlightenment movement, that we are tired of this and that your interests and that of the country and its people come FIRST.
I represent the party of thoughtful individuals, individuals in the collective; individuals who are dissatisfied with oversimplifying American politics and political issues, and sick of Democrats AND Republicans telling us what's right for our lives.
I make a guarantee that nobody else will; I guarantee that if I am not doing what is right for Louisiana and its citizen as judged by God, my constituents, and my morals, I will resign. Simply put, I will be unwavering in the pressures of Washington and will stand like a rock against the traditions of parties and their games.
I say, game over; time for LIBERTY, and time to vote for REAL change.
Tired of the rhetoric? I am.
I recently read our Senator’s e-update about his response to the President’s State of the Union Address. I can’t help thinking this individual is an opportunist with only one goal in mind. His reelection to the US Senate. In fact both of my opponents jumped on the Who Dat bandwagon. We have a deathly ill economy, our fellow Americans are in a war, and many of our fellow citizens are without jobs. I’m sorry, the NFL was dead wrong and on the State level it was covered, it did not need intervention from our elected Federal Representatives. Mr. Senator mentions a no cost stimulus bill? Sound enticing but what does it mean? Tapping into our oil reserves will create two million jobs? Let’s put this into perspective, there are only four million people in Louisiana. I am all for domestic drilling but lets be truthful. There’s no way two million jobs will be created. By the time the oil came out of the ground and the gasoline hit your tank the price would be double what it is now. This is pure hogwash. The industry cannot support two million more jobs economically.
Why don’t we ask the Senator about his voting record on the Farm Bill? On the surface it sounds great, help out American Farmers. What did this really do? It drove corn based product prices up and it increased the price at the pump. How? In the Bill farmers were subsidized with our tax money to grow corn for ethanol, came out to about 50 cents a gallon. When you put the ethanol in your car you pay for it again! Not only that it cost more to produce ethanol than gasoline. Boy did he jump on a bandwagon to nowhere.
Ask him about the Franken Amendment. The Franken Amendment wanted to hold employees and employers with government contracts working overseas to the same laws we abide by here in the US. A young woman working for a government contractor was raped by her coworkers. The agreement between the contractor and the US Government stated that any grievances against any employees would be brought before an independent panel for a hearing. Needless to say this innocent young lady lost her grievance. One of our Senators voted against the Bill. The Bill went along party lines. Anybody can have a good idea at any time regardless of their party affiliation. Then he has the gall to mention bipartisan!
Mr. Senator why don’t you tell people the real way to stimulate the US economy. Cut taxes and reduce the size of government. That’s a start. I am a proponent of the Fair Tax Plan. It puts the spending power back in people’s hands. It gives businesses an opportunity to grow and reinvest in themselves. Mr. Senator won’t tell you about that, his friends don’t like it so he doesn’t. Even though it’s good for you and your family he won't talk positive about it. Don’t take my word for it; ask any economist what a Fair Tax plan will do. It will spur the economy overnight.
Mr. Senator we have had enough of the rhetoric. If see it I will bring you to task on it. I for one have had enough BS from DC and I plan on being the first positive step in the change Americans truly deserve. My fellow citizens of Louisiana you can bank on it, as your US Senator I will be listening to you.
