The Libertarian Primary is August 28th, I would like to invite all Libertarians and Independents to take part in our priamry. I would encourage you to vote for the endorsed Libertarian candidate for US Senate!
Thomas Jefferson said, "In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock." The time has come to end decorum; time to end the status quo. YOU and the country need "in your face" governance that stands like a rock.
Lawmaking solely in the interest of the country and it's people is paramount. All to often we see politicians voting the party line, voting blindly with their party and their OWN SELF INTEREST. Tell them, by voting for me and the Libertarian enlightenment movement, that we are tired of this and that your interests and that of the country and its people come FIRST.
I represent the party of thoughtful individuals, individuals in the collective; individuals who are dissatisfied with oversimplifying American politics and political issues, and sick of Democrats AND Republicans telling us what's right for our lives.
I make a guarantee that nobody else will; I guarantee that if I am not doing what is right for Louisiana and its citizen as judged by God, my constituents, and my morals, I will resign. Simply put, I will be unwavering in the pressures of Washington and will stand like a rock against the traditions of parties and their games.
I say, game over; time for LIBERTY, and time to vote for REAL change.

Part one: Questions with Anthony Gentile, Libertarian Candidate for US Senate
January 15, 5:23 PM Lafayette Political Buzz Examiner Ken LaRive
Interview with Anthony Gentile,
LaRive: Thank you for granting me your time Mr. Gentile. You are the Libertarian candidate for US Senate and have been very outspoken and specific about where you see Louisiana going. Before we get started, perhaps you should tell us something about yourself, where you live and a bit about your life. Where were you raised, and tell us a bit about your family too if you could?
Gentile: Thanks Ken, my name is Anthony Gentile, and I am honored to be running as the Louisiana Libertarian Candidate for the U.S. Senate.
I have lived right here in Mandeville, Louisiana for the past 15 years, also in Destrehan and Metairie. Louisiana is my home and I find the heart and soul of the people here very rare.
I'm married to the love of my life for almost 29 years, and have two sons. One lives in Florida and the other is at home with us.
In my early life I was what one might call a Air Force Brat, and we traveled quite a bit. I saw a lot of this country and learned a lot about America. My father retired in 1975 and we moved to Pennsylvania to take care of his ailing parents. That was difficult, because we all loved them very much. It taught me a lot about responsibility, and my father's good soul too. I really understood him for the very first time, and have tried to emulate him my whole life.
In 1981, the oilfield in Louisiana was doing very well and so I moved here for that opportunity. All was going so well with great potential, but in 1983 it got so slow I was laid off for ten months. A lot of my friends lost everything, and I tried to understand what was actually happening. I knew little about politics back then, but started paying attention. I was very fortunate to land another job in the oil industry and have been employed at that same location for almost 27 years. My job title at this time is Region Business Supervisor.
LaRive: So what drew you to politics Mr. Gentile?
Gentile: Well, after Katrina I started really paying attention to State and Federal politics, and I could not believe what I saw. The devastation of the New Orleans metropolitan area and the delayed response really shocked and disgusted me. I saw that our leadership was inept and unprepared. The citizens of Louisiana deserve better, and were not represented, nor were promises kept. Politicians here will say anything, and then do exactly as they please. They do not represent the voter, but their own self interest and agenda. I want very badly to stop this.
To this day partisan politics continually get in the way of doing what is right for the citizens, and corruption plagues this state. Though I have heard many times politicians promising to improve education, internal corruption, and the amazing amount of crime, little is done. We are dead last in all three categories, the most violent, corrupt and uneducated in the United States, and I want to dedicate my life to fixing that. I can do that because I answer to no one. I can't be bought, and I hold a high standard. It is called conservative Christian values. I walk my talk.
LaRive: You have two major opponents right now Mr. Gentile, Can you describe them, and some of your differences?
Gentile: I don't know either one of them personally, and quite frankly I wouldn't want to at this time. I have studied their records and they are both fundamentally partisan. This is the last thing Louisiana needs, as it further divides us. When we fight among ourselves they can get away with anything unnoticed and unopposed. In order to pick ourselves up we must work together for a common goal, and be held responsible for what we do. I can see no difference between them in that respect; it is just more of the same.
Their records speak for themselves, and they should be ashamed. I'm really surprised they are actually running at all. It is amazing, but they are banking on the ignorance of the Louisiana voter to get elected. They hope we concentrate on our individual problems, problems they are responsible for, and not remember the past. They have little or no regard for the US Constitution, or the well being of the citizens of Louisiana.
LaRive: What can you do to change this?
Gentile: I know what will stimulate jobs in Louisiana. I see it every day behind my desk. The red tape and inordinate taxation of both business and the individual is strangling us, and has been for decades. Less taxes, smaller government, more liberty, more accountability, business tax incentives, and a higher standard in education is what I will untiringly work for, 24/7. It is no wonder we have so much crime, so little jobs, our children leaving for other more progressive states, ...our leadership makes it so. These failings do not happen by chance! It is uncaring, unprofessional, unethical, unprincipled leadership that makes it so.
I love Louisiana, but I feel so very sorry for her too. She has been milked dry by the same old politicians for so long she can see nothing else. If I were allowed in the U.S. Senate, I would be a voice so loud and clear that other states and leaders would try to emulate us. We have resources here that other states only dream about, and we should be living in the Paradise so depicted on our license plate. Instead, we stand in the unemployment line, and afraid to go out at night.
I can help change that, but I can't do it alone. I need Louisiana to vote me in.
