There is a quote from Thomas Jefferson that describes the current Senator and how I will be, “ In matters of style swim with the current, in matters of principle stand like a rock”. It’s time to throw decorum out the window, in your face governance is what’s needed. Voting the party line has to stop, making laws that are in the interest of this country and it’s people should be paramount. I make this guarantee to you, every November if I am not doing what's right for the citizens, our country, and Louisiana you can fire me, I 'll resign. Will anyone else in politics give you that guarantee?
I say game over. Let’s clear the board. Prepare yourself for real change!

2010 Elections, a new beginning or a solemn end?
This fall election is an extremely important one. The consequences are great if we do not balance the power in the House and Senate.
There has been a lot of talk of voting out all of the encumbants that are running. Now for me I would say there are some that should go, some
that have to go, and some that should stay. I think we all can agree with that statement. Whether we all agree on the names that fit each category is another thing.
I believe we have to have an open mind and look at the voting records and statements of each encumbant. There are a lot of newcomers, first time people stepping up to the plate to challenge these professional politicians. They will be severely challenged in the sense most of them have no money, none to little name recognition, and operating a grass roots campaign. How do we rate these people against the
professional politicians?
Being a conservative I know we need to cut taxes and reduce the size of the Federal Government. If we look at the performance of these
professional politicians, especially the ones who profess to be conservative we can see that taxes have been steady and the Federal
Government continues to grow and has now for several years. Spending has increased and the debt mounts. Have you ever noticed the finger pointing when the money is being spent. It all depends what side of the fence you stand on to make it right or wrong. Neither the Liberals or Conservatives have done much to control spending. So that brings us back to the third party candidates.
All we have is their word and good intention. It's a tough decision come November. From my view point, being elected by a majority of people in your state or district is an honor. One that should be not taken lightly. I view a vote as an investment, my trust in someone to make the right decisions after taking in all of the data to benefit my country and state. Not their friends or their own pockets.
I am a third party candidate, a Libertarian. It's ironic there's a short test on the internet that will tell you what your true political values are. Most repulicans turn out to be Libertarian. I took the test and didn't believe it at first. I took a the test a year later, I am a Libertarian. It doesn't make me a bad guy, or off the wall. I have conservative values just like many of you.
We know what the others (the professionals) have done and we know where we're at. Give these third party folks a good look. You can tell who is blowing smoke and who is sincere. Our future's depend on good choices this time, the same old same old is too costly.

These last couples of weeks have been like walking on cloud nine here in Louisiana! The Saints and Mardi Gras made it a big party for all to enjoy! It’s been awesome. Sadly parties always end and we come back to reality.
There are so many things I want to write about but in effort not to be too long winded I’ll pick a topic and go with it. This week I would like to
talk about job creation.
Is it the Federal Government’s responsibility to create jobs? Would we rather have private industry create jobs? I believe the appropriate answers are no for the first question and yes for the second.
Simply put the Federal Government making new jobs putting people to work at first glance is good. People are off of the unemployment roles. Short term gain however the long term means we all pay taxes to keep these people working. We have created another deficit generating opportunity.
The private industry on the other hand hires jobs based on a need. The need to satisfy the market demand which basically comes from consumer confidence in the economy. This can easily be done giving consumers more spending power. The failed stimulus’s put the money in the wrong hands. We all know that. The consumers can stimulate an economy more effectively than any other device. The demand for products goes up the private industry hires. Simple concept.
If we know this as citizens why don’t our elected officials know this? My guess is they do but it’s not on their agenda. They don’t listen to the
American people. They would rather bail out financial institutions that have been crushing the consumer with high interest rates for years. The
auto industry that mismanaged their enormous profits over the years trying to blame their failure on the working man’s wage. The mortgage industry where it seemed all you had to do is breath on your own to get a home mortgage. Creative financing caught up with them and we all paid for it.
Our elected leaders just don’t get it. They work for the American people. I’m reading articles where our Senators are bringing home all kinds of
money for Federal Projects. They’re bringing home the bacon. If we’re borrowing and printing money to keep the country afloat how can there be bacon. The meat locker is empty. We have to trim the fat, cut spending, lower taxes, and hold these people we trusted accountable for their actions or lack of.
Ladies and Gentlemen: As your elected official I will never forget how I got the job. It was based on your trust in me to do the right things. I
will work within the means of the Constitution and be accountable to you the taxpayer. Folks, I may be the only one but I will be listening to you.

"Tony is one of the most honorable political opponents I have ever faced. He is a man of the utmost integrity, and is more concerned about getting his message out to the voters and serving the people than playing partisan politics. I am proud to have him run for the Senate as a Libertarian."
